Basic course for rope-supported activities
After completing this course, the participants will acquire an extensive knowledge about the rope techniques to access the installation site and to work on the hanging rope. In addition, rescue techniques will be demonstrated and practiced. The course is conducted as per international standards and includes a theoretical and practical examination.

Target groups:
Persons who carry out installation and service activities at places that are at a height or underground and which cannot be accessed using conventional methods such as ladders and scaffolding.

Prerequisite for participation:
Sound health and aptitude for working at heights (G 41)
Experience in working at heights and exposed places

• Legal grounds for accident prevention regulations
• Acclimatisation to heights
• Information about material
• Information about knots
• Safety technique
• Anchorage points
• Descending techniques
• Ascending techniques
• Block and pulley technique
• Fundamentals of rescuing persons

Duration:
A total of two weeks which is divided into training modules having independent self-learning phases and exercises.
