GlideLoc Y-spar ladder, turntable & horizontal rail made from aluminium, Comfort fall arrester, full body harness

Soll safety ladders, the permanent safe climbing system

GlideLoc Fall protection ladders have an integrated guide rail for the guided-type fall arrester in the centre stile. They are available in aluminium, galvanized steel and stainless steel both as central-stile ladders (Y-spar) and with side stiles (twin ladder). The distance between rungs is 280 mm. Customised designs may be available.

Center Style Ladder
Y-Spar

Y-SPAR LADDER

Y-spar is a simple, cost-effective and versatile safety ladder. The low surface area keeps wind loads applied to the sub-structure to a minimum. Y-spar ladders are also available with perforated rungs for applications in dirty environments.

ZAL
Twin Ladder

TWIN LADDER

The operator can glide his hands along the side rails when ascending without having to hold onto the rungs. Ideal for dirty environments. Soll Twin Ladders offer high distortion resistance.

Top, Bottom & rigid End-Stop
End-Stops

TOP & BOTTOM END-STOP

The spring activated Top & Bottom End-Stops prevent the fall arrester from either being inserted incorrectly or accidentally slipping out of the guide-rail. For fitting to the very top and bottom of the ladder system. Comes with all fixings.

The rigid End-Stop does not allow the fall arrester being taken out of the very top ladder section.

Insertion ladder
Insertion brackets

INSERTION LADDER

An insertion ladder is made up of a ladder segment (e.g. YAL) and special mounting brackets installed at the back of the ladder (with and without insertion aid). The ladder is mounted and/or hinged on the mast or structure in appropriate clamps or plates with and without locking bolts.
The advantages of a detachable ladder are that it can be used:

  • either to prevent the trespassing of a site
  • to save expenses at a site using several climbing routes
  • or to ensure that a building architecture remains unaffected.

The movable ladder section is an alternative with similar functions (refer to "Aluminium Ladders" product catalogue).

Application example...

Turntable
Turntable

TURNTABLE

Turntables allow safe continuous transfer from a point in a vertical system onto a point in a horizontal system and vice versa. It is also possible to continue through the turntable without transferring.

A cost-effective alternative is the Ho-Ver turntable that simply allows transfer from the end of a vertical system to the end of a horizontal system.

Folding Footrest
Folding Footrest

FOLDING FOOTRESTS

Must be provided at regular intervals in case of long ascent routes. They provide a rest platform that can be folded easily and discreetly. It allows better ergonomics with increased safety.

Rotary Exit Section
Rotary Exit Section

ROTARY EXIT SECTION

Climbers can safely access and egress the top of the guide rail while standing on the upper platform.

Strengthening
Reinforcement

REINFORCEMENT/STRENGTHENING

Is required, when the distance between last mounting point and top-end of the ladder/rail exceeds 525 mm. It must be bolted onto the guide-rail at a distance of 560 mm and must extend down over at least two mounting brackets. Comes with all installation elements.

Garden door
Pivoting roof exit

PIVOTING ROOF EXIT

To be used in confined spaces at the plattform edge. For a safe transfer to a surface behind the climbing way. Anchoring on the left side. Complete with all fixing elements. To be fixed on the central spar of the ladder.

Twisted Change-Over Rail
Twisted Change-
Over Rail

TWISTED CHANGE-OVER RAIL

Allows a climber to transfer onto a horizontal guide rail and move safely onto a roof or a platform at least 1metre away from the edge before disconnecting from the system.

Exit Section
Exit Section

EXIT SECTION

A climber can detach the fall arrester from the rail after ascending and insert it into the rail before descending at a mid-point.

Shaft entering device
Shaft entry

SHAFT ENTERING DEVICE

For safe entry into manholes. This device can be moved from one manhole ladder to another.

And this is how it works...

Roundabout
Roundabout

ROUNDABOUT

For a safe transfer between two different vertical climbing routes on a mast without disconnecting the fall arrester from the guide-rail or the climber. Projection of the climbing way: 150mm, minimum mast diameter: 200 mm, maximum mast diameter: 1000 mm, maximum turning off-set 200°. Comprising two horizontal rods which enables the transfer of the guide-rail section together with the fall arrester to the other ladder. Comes with all fixing elements. Please specify mast diameter, offset angle, projection and ladder type. The direction of movement will be manufactured upon request.

BRACKETS

One of our strengths, apart from a wide range of standard brackets, is our ability to offer customisation on short notice.

ACCESSORIES

Various accessories like coupling pieces or identification plates make GlideLoc systems complete. We would be happy to assist you with planning an ascent route.

Curves
Bend

BENDS

Enable optimal adaptation to the building profile. The minimum allowable radius and the angle required should be considered when designing a bend. For multiple-bends the required off-set must be specified.
