Our support to customers in FP anchorage systems is truly turning global!Anchorage systems are a critical part of the FP business of Bacou Dalloz, driven today by its Söll brand and by its operational excellence in Hof. Our global sales growth potential is very good, provided that customers get the appropriate support in engineering. Therefore we launched.. EUSY (acronym for EUropean SYstems) is the project that will help us to provide an effective engineering support by leveraging our European know-how & standardizing interactions between sales and technical support. We will achieve this by : - Bringing all European systems sales under one hat
- Beefing up our two System Customer Services (SCS) in Northern Europe & in Southern Europe and developing
- Creating an APplication Engineering Center for Systems (APECS) in Hof - "Apex" in Latin means Summit -
- Adding Research in Systems to our R&D center in Vierzon.
Regional SCSs, the global APECS in Hof and the R&D Center in Vierzon will be the earth of our global organization in systems in charge of supporting all our regional sales forces according to BD values as illustrated in this first special edition of High Lites!. Best regards to all ! Customized anchorage systems play a critical role through the entire "work at height cycle", from access to rescue. Customers often need specific anchors in order to help them work in unique settings (such as the one in the picture on the left). System customizing is seconded to an initial technical study (layout, load calculations, etc.) that can be described as system engineering support. The Söll System is not primarily an off-the-shelf product. It is a bespoke solution where 75% of deliveries include some kind of customizing. While Söll systems tend to be installed by partners, the engineering support is carried out internally. Our ANTEC Sales organisation and « FAS » Installation Unit in the USA have been very active in Systems, particularly in Horizontal Lifelines. Systems are also business development targets in Asia and were recently used with some of MILLER's key accounts in France.
Customer Focus - Strengthening our engineering support to customersEUSY fosters a screening process for customers' requests combining shortest response times with established expertise. It involves 4 levels of support : Sales - Customer Service - Development - Research Sales : All EMEA System sales, including Antec's, are now under one hat under the responsibility of Patrick Simoneau. This allows us to benefit from the whole breadth of our expertise to serve our customers. SCS (System Customer Service) : The regional SCSs, including Northern Europe, Southern Europe and other centres, are local technical support centres in charge of providing the sales force, installers and customers with all the engineering support they need to win projects involving permanent anchorage systems. APECS (Application Engineering Center for Systems) : Based in Hof, this centre provides technical solutions to customers' requests which are compatible with production. APECS is also responsible for the quality control of every system part produced, whether in house or via partners & subcontractors. Research : Research in systems is now coupled with PPE research (in Vierzon), in order to foster the development of Fall Protection solutions and our "technical auditing" capabilities. Development of systems is done jointly with the APECS in Hof. Innovation – Reaching a new APECSOur aim is to be ever closer to the end user, wherever in the world he may be. The EUSY project's objective is to put in place an innovative organization promoting closeness, reactivity and efficiency by: Putting in place a technical support structure unique to our industry, which allows us to understand, evaluate, conceive and develop customized solutions for our clients. Building High Performing Information Exchange Interfaces, using the latest communication techniques to create a library of technical drawings, to share the developments created for our clients or to exchange in real-time our client files. We want to erase the geographic barriers and to standardize our approach to satisfy our clients, whether they are in San Francisco, Beirut, Antwerp or Beijing. Creating a dedicated research team able to dream up new generation solutions that integrate our clients' global fall protection needs for both systems and PPE. Respect for People – SCS Vierzon Anne-Laure Morice and Raphaela Faivre: Antec or Söll !!! Vertical or horizontal!!! All-around talent !Anne-Laure joined Bacou-Dalloz in December 2003 as Commercial Assistant for Söll France. She is now part of the SCS Southern Europe, where she manages Horizontal & Vertical Systems orders and quotations for clients in the South of France. "Before we had two completely separate departments (Antec Lifeline and Söll Systems). Now we have a real team working together". Raphaela has been working with us since April 2000 as Commercial Assistant for Antec. She is now part of the SCS Southern Europe, where she manages Horizontal & Vertical Systems orders and quotations for clients in the North of France. "Merging the Systems departments made sense and we get on very well in the team." Team Performance - The EUSY Team making it all happenThe EUSY project is led by Nicolas Ollivier, our Vierzon Human Resources Manager. Nicolas is overseeing the project so that it runs smoothly and is in charge of the recruitment process with Wolfgang Haala for the new team members who will help ensure the success of EUSY. Patrick Simoneau, leading System sales, is working on the clarification of the sales team and SCS interface. He is also ensuring that there is effective expertise exchange on systems between all sales forces of the group. Herbert Rieder, Hof site Manager supervising APECS, works together with Nicolas Faye, Head of R&D in Vierzon, on the clarification of exchanges between APECS and Vierzon on systems. Furthermore, Herbert validates the quality control of system parts production worldwide. Our marketer Eric Deneuve works on the communication around the project as well as on the harmonization of all information systems between the four levels of EUSY customer support. All systems' deliveries mixing standard & customized parts belong to Hof and Vierzon site logistics. They are reviewed by Thierry Juillet, our PPE sites Manager. Finally, our VP, François-Xavier Bertschy is bringing his expertise and global vision to the project ! |
